Debbie Steffin, P.T., MPT
Physical Therapist
Debbie Steffin is passionate about empowering people to improve and maintain a healthy body by expanding their awareness and understanding of how the human body functions through movement. In addition to receiving a Master's of Physical Therapy from Cal State University Northridge, she has been a yoga instructor since 2007 and is on her way to becoming a certified Pilates Instructor. She believes in a balanced approach of unlocking tensed spots in the body through manual therapy and educating her clients on how to strengthen the weak spots. Her goal through this process is to expand her client's awareness of how they use their body on a day-to-day basis so they can shift habits that are inhibiting their function or causing them pain.
Debbie has a long-standing interest in the healing arts. Through self-explorations into acupuncture, massage, nutrition, Breema, Reiki, and Ayurveda medicine she has developed a deep awareness of the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit. She approaches healing with a reverence for the multifaceted levels to the human being and how they impact the physical body.
With a history in pediatric Physical Therapy, Debbie has learned the importance of smiling and blowing bubbles as we work through the hard parts of life. While she loves working with adults as well, she strives to maintain a youthful spirit as she helps people work through the challenges of maintaining a human body.
Debbie was born and raised in Pacific Palisades and is excited to have the opportunity to work in her hometown. She feels very lucky to be a part of such a talented and friendly team at the Cypress Center.
Debbie's other interests include meditation, volunteering, the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, swimming, art, martial arts, reading and biking.
