Roxann Smith
Front Office Coordinator & Clinical Liaison
Roxann is a native of Seattle, Washington and a huge Seahawks fan. She recently moved to Southern California for better weather and to create roots for herself. Her health philosophy is “you have to meet each patient where they are and being healthy involves ones spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional and social well-being.”
She received her degree in Public Health with a specialization in pre-nursing from Central Washington University. During her colligate years she worked as an event programmer on campus focusing on women’s issues and STI education. Roxann completed her internship abroad in Hohoe, Ghana in 2011. There she created local health fairs to community members focusing on malaria, family planning, HIV/AIDS education/testing and hypertension testing/prevention.
Over the last couple years she has volunteered for different non-profits focusing on: recuperative care for homeless men and women, providing beauty services to individuals who are chronically and terminally ill, reproductive health, and creating access to healthcare. Roxann is a health advocate and passionate about reproductive and women’s health. She has experience in developing, coordinating, implementing programs and fundraising. Roxann also dedicates her time as the volunteer coordinator for Community in Action for Self Help Projects, Inc., (CASP), a non-profit organization dedicated to eradication of health and educational disparities in Hohoe, Ghana.
Since Roxann moved to Los Angeles four years ago, she has created a healing community for herself and others around her. She completed her 200hr Hatha Yoga Training at Yoga Daya led by Kiyomi Takahashi and Tulsi Laher and completed their Mentorship Program working with Leslie Porter. Roxann has taken continuing education classes in advanced asanas, pranayama and sequencing. She is also a doTERRA Wellness Advocate, trained in ArmoaTouch Technique and she is currently completing her Reiki 1 and 2 certification. Roxann works closely with The Cypress Center Physical Therapists trained in Yoga injury prevention and pose modification. She attends inservices and workshops on a monthly basis with the goal of maximizing health and wellness for all of her clients.
