Ruben Gonzalez, P.T., DPT
Physical Therapist
Ruben joins The Cypress Center after receiving his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, California. His previous education included receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Redlands in 2013. He was also employed as a physical therapy aide for 2 years in order to get more experience in the physical therapy field prior to graduate school.
During his internships, Ruben gained experience in everything skilled nursing facilities to outpatient orthopedic settings all while working with a wide variety of patients. Ruben’s main passion lies within the orthopedic setting and using an evidence-based approach to help his patients improve.
He believes that learning is a lifelong journey and is always seeking for ways to improve himself as a clinician in order to develop more efficient treatments for his patients. From completing advanced manual therapy courses in school to becoming certified in blood flow restriction rehabilitation, the learning never ends for Ruben. He hopes to achieve an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist credential to advance his skills as a clinician.
Ruben currently lives in Encino. He enjoys spending his free time inside the gym or outside playing any sport from football to volleyball with his friends.
