Melissa is an experienced physical therapist specializing in orthopedics and women’s health. Since graduating, Melissa has had experience treating patients in a variety of clinical settings ranging from sports medicine to acute rehabilitation to geriatrics. Her love for adventure and traveling led her to pursue travel physical therapy to then settle in Los Angeles. Her areas of clinical practice are orthopedics, sports medicine, manual therapy, pelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, pre and post-partum, bowel dysfunction, and breast cancer rehabilitation. Throughout her career, she has augmented her knowledge and experience with continuing education courses in manual therapy, orthopedic, and pelvic floor classes to progress her techniques and treatment approach. She recently completed the Integrative Systems Model for Disability and Pain mentorship program through Diane Lee, which looks at the whole body to find the source of the impairment. This program along with Melissa’s background in orthopedics and biomechanics has been valuable in treating patients with chronic pain. By blending her skills, she is able to provide an individualized and comprehensive treatment to achieve the best outcome.
On her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, Pilates, playing tennis, shopping, and dining.
